Our commercial property services include acting for tenants and landlords, on new leases, lease renewals, licences and all of the usual related transactions.
We have particular expertise in the area of leasehold enfranchisement. This encompasses lease extensions and collective freehold acquisitions, and a number of related issues such as right-of-first-refusal advice. The firm is a member of ALEP, which recognises the breadth and number of transactions we carry out in this specialist area of property work.
Our estate planning and administration work includes will-writing and estate-planning advice. The probate work we undertake often involves us acting as executor, and the estates we administer vary in size and complexity. We advise on issues such as business property relief, disposal of agricultural land and, where relevant, preserving estate assets by minimising tax exposure through the use of Deeds of Variation.
Our notarial services principally involve the authentication of documents for use in foreign jurisdictions. We owe a duty to the transaction, and will ensure a high level of authenticity and verification is applied in each case, ensuring the transaction taking place abroad is not unduly delayed or affected.
We provide a number of other services, such as Court of Protection work relating to the appointment of deputies to handle the affairs of a person who is no longer capable, and liquor licensing.
