Fee Basis: Conveyancing

We will always seek to agree a fixed fee with you prior to receiving instructions in connection with residential conveyancing transactions.

This fixed fee is agreed on the understanding that later variation may be necessary should the transaction become more complex or time consuming than a typical transaction of that nature. Should such circumstances arise we will always explain them to you and seek to agree a further fixed fee with you prior to carrying out the additional work.

Sale transaction – typical costs
Our fixed fee for a residential sale is usually at least £950 + VAT. We charge a fee for each bank transfer made on your behalf at £35 + VAT per transfer. We will need to make payments on your behalf to third parties – we call these “disbursements”. These are the typical disbursements which will arise:

Purchase transaction – typical costs
Our fixed fee for a residential purchase is usually at least £950 + VAT. We charge a fee for each bank transfer made on your behalf at £35 + VAT per transfer.
