In January 2020 Easyjet suffered a cyber attack in which the data of an estimated nine million customers was stolen. This data included:-
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Card details
• Travel itinerary
Easyjet failed to notify the members of the public whose data had been compromised until April 2020, during which time the data was available for criminals to use for fraud and other criminal activity. The victims, being members of the general public who had trusted Easyjet with their data, had no means by which to protect themselves since they were not aware of the data loss.
All customers whose data was compromised have now been notified by email prior to 26 May 2020.
If you have received an email from Easyjet notifying you of potential data loss you could be entitled to financial compensation as a result of the loss of your data. To register your interest and learn how we can assist you with claiming this compensation please complete our secure registration form opposite.
