Clive qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and leads the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department. Before joining Thirsk Winton he was a partner in a leading City law firm for over 20 years.
He has extensive experience of litigation across a wide range of forums, including the High Court, County Court, tribunals and arbitrations. Clive specialises in contract disputes and professional negligence matters, as well as the enforcement and challenge of post-termination restrictions in employment contracts and issues arising from team moves. He also regularly advises on shareholder and director claims, and has experience of employment disputes.
Clive has acted in a number of reported cases, including those concerning post-termination restrictions, employee signing-on bonuses and solicitors’ costs.
He acts for both individuals and companies, and is an accredited mediator. Clive is supported by a strong team of solicitors and paralegals.
